Canoe Museum and Lift Lock
Yesterday I had to travel to Peterborough, Ontario for a meeting and decided to visit a couple of the local sites. The Peterborough Canoe Museum was my first stop. To be able to get up close and see canoes made from birch bark that have lasted from the 1800′s was incredible. Unfortunately the pictures did not turn out the greatest as the lighting was difficult and no flash photography was allowed. You can view all the photos on my flickr stream. Below is one of the best photos from the day.
After my meeting I found my way to the lift lock, which is part of the Trent Severn waterway. The Lock 21 is the highest hydraulic lift lock in the world.
