About Me

I am currently self employed and spend most of my days designing and building a Small Business Cloud Delivery Platform. The project is still in the early phases, so nothing more to share here. I don’t update my technology blog as often as I would like, but if you are interested it’s located at: tidbits.rivett.ca.

I enjoy the outdoors and previously was the organizer for the Hamilton and Area Hiking Meetup. Since moving to Toronto I have handed over the reigns but still make it out for the occasional hike. I spend more time walking in the city and exploring the concrete jungle.

I started this webpage as a way to share information I learn about computers and a space online to store my recipes, but now they have their own website at veggiefrog.rivett.ca. This site is now a place for all my great internet finds and a place to document my travels around Ontario and sometimes the world.

If I am not working or cooking then I am usually behind the camera. You can view my photos at flickr, or my photo a day blog at daily.photofrog.ca. My “best of” portfolio is located at portfolio.photofrog.ca.

About 10 years ago I spent a great deal of time researching my family tree and in the process started the Norfolk Transcription Archive. Since that time, the site has become extremely popular, and continues to be visited by over 200 people a day.
